Job summary

Fairstead seeks a Community Manager to oversee day-to-day operations at a property, ensuring on-site compliance and strong performance. You will manage leasing and regulatory activities, coordinate with Compliance, and supervise maintenance and vendor coordination.

The role requires 3+ years in management, COS/CPO certification preferred, and experience with affordable housing programs. A Bachelor’s degree is desirable, with opportunities for growth across Fairstead’s portfolio.

Qualifications

• Three years of management experience supervising a team.
• COS or CPO certification.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Experience with EIV is a plus.
• Yardi and RealPage experience preferred.
• TCS certification for tax credit properties a plus.
• Experience in Affordable Housing.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Ensure adherence to leasing laws (HUD, Fair Housing, ADA, FCRA).
• Maintain HUD 4350.3 Handbook knowledge.
• Coordinate responses to regulatory agencies with Compliance.
• Implement intervention strategies with Regional Managers and Compliance.
• Prepare REAC, MOR, LIHTC reviews, and recertifications.
• Assist tenants with requests and inquiries.
• Monitor arrears and litigation; coordinate evictions.
• Direct collection of rents and processing of delinquencies.
