Job summary

Associa is hiring a Community Associate (Manager in Training) in North Carolina for a full-time role that immerses you in community management. You will shadow community managers, learn to manage budgets, and prepare financial reports as you progress toward becoming a portfolio manager.

You will work with a team of specialists supporting community operations, with check-ins and performance reviews to determine readiness for promotion to a community manager position.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to learn new technology and apply it to practice.
• Proficient in reviewing and analyzing financial reports.
• Understanding of contractual bidding processes.
• Knowledge of proper meeting order and process.
• Familiarity with architectural review/request processes.
• Ability to create and maintain a working budget.

Responsibilities

• Maintain open communication with boards of directors and homeowners.
• Prepare and present budgets to boards.
• Analyze monthly financial reports and create variance reports for boards.
• Create monthly management reports.
• Coordinate with vendors for community maintenance projects.
• Oversee daily operations of a portfolio of communities.
• Attend board and internal team meetings.
• Supervise administrative and maintenance staff when applicable.
