Job summary

CAMBA is seeking a Maintenance Worker to support our Brooklyn facilities. You will perform general maintenance, safety tasks, and basic repairs across our locations, ensuring clean, safe spaces for clients and staff.

The role requires the ability to follow instructions, maintain confidentiality, and obtain necessary clearances. Bilingual skills are preferred. This is a full-time position with health benefits and retirement plan options.

Qualifications

• Sufficient education and technical expertise to understand written and oral instructions, complete maintenance tasks, and document accomplished tasks.
• Demonstrated skills and abilities to perform the essential maintenance functions.
• Bilingual in English and any other language preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain professional relationships with clients and client confidentiality.
• Practice Universal Precautions/Standard Protocol & Procedures.
• Comply with Federal, State, City, and CAMBA security and privacy policies.
• Identify and report maintenance issues.
• Comply with maintenance regulatory requirements.
• Utilize safety standards and display safety signs when performing tasks.
• Clean rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, window blinds, and draperies.
• Clean and sanitize toilets, sinks, tubs, showers, and related surfaces.
• Replace light bulbs, fixtures, covers, and outlet covers as needed.
• Dust and wipe furniture, equipment, and ceiling fans.
• Transport trash and recyclables to disposal area.
• Remove snow and ice from sidewalks, driveways, and stairs.
• Polish metalwork and lighting fixtures.
• Replenish bathroom supplies.
• Wash walls, ceilings, woodwork, windows, and vents.
• Plaster and paint interiors of buildings.
• Replace door handles or locks as needed.
• Escort clients to appointments as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
