Job summary

EHDOC is seeking a Maintenance Person for its elderly housing community in Chicago. You will perform routine and preventive maintenance, handle electrical and plumbing tasks, and assist with turnover preparations to ensure timely occupancy.

The role requires hands-on building maintenance experience, a basic universal license, and the ability to work with elderly residents, contractors, and property staff. On-site duties and rotating call coverage are expected.

Qualifications

• Required basic technical training: Basic Universal License (may be completed during first year).
• Hands-on knowledge of building maintenance including plumbing, electrical, painting, and janitorial tasks.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance as scheduled by Supervisor.
• Participate in preventative maintenance programs and record work performed.
• Respond to maintenance requests within 24 hours or notify supervisor.
