Job summary

EHDOC is seeking a Maintenance Person to perform routine maintenance and respond to repairs and emergencies at the community. You will work under the direction of the Building Engineer, Maintenance Supervisor, and Community Manager to keep plumbing, electrical, painting, and janitorial systems in good condition.

The role requires hands-on maintenance experience, basic licensing, and the ability to coordinate with supervisors to meet turnover timelines while maintaining safety and compliance

Qualifications

• Basic Universal License is required or can be obtained within the first year.
• 3 years of building maintenance experience are required.
• Hands-on knowledge in plumbing, electrical, painting and janitorial tasks.
• Good verbal and written communication in the property's predominant language.

Responsibilities

• Handle routine maintenance projects as scheduled by Supervisor.
• Participate in preventive maintenance programs and keep records.
• Respond to maintenance requests within 24 hours; escalate as needed.
• Respond to emergencies immediately and join the call-back rotation including weekends.
• Maintain equipment per manufacturer manuals and secure property in emergencies.
• Perform electrical and plumbing maintenance as required.
• Prepare units for turnover with painting, cleaning and repairs.
• Participate in inventory control and upkeep of parts and materials.
• Maintain grounds, common areas and waste disposal systems.
