Job summary

Adjoin Catalysts in California seeks a Direct Support Facilitator to assist clients with intellectual and developmental disabilities. You will work directly with clients, help with daily activities, and promote independence while ensuring health and safety throughout shifts.

The role also includes coordinating local office needs, welcoming visitors, handling communications, and maintaining records. A high school diploma, First Aid/CPR certification, and a valid CA driver's license are required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• First Aid and CPR certification, or successful completion within 45 days.
• Insured, valid CA driver's license and reliable vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Direct support for clients at least 30% of total hours, promoting decision-making and participation.
• Assist with meals, daily living activities, and household tasks while supporting independence.
• Implement individualized training and support programs under supervision.
• Maintain positive communication with supervisor, clients, landlords, employers and family members.
• Document activity records, incidents and evaluations promptly and accurately.
• Provide advocacy when client preferences or needs are overlooked and address safety concerns.
