Job summary

Adjoin seeks a Specialized Direct Support Professional in Stockton, CA to support clients in daily activities and promote inclusion and safety. You will implement training plans and assist in developing independent living skills under the supervision of the Regional Manager.

Requirements include a High School Diploma, 18+ years old, pre‑employment drug screen, background check, First-Aid/CPR certification, and a CA driver’s license with an insured vehicle. Some travel is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
• Experience working with individuals in crisis is required.
• Pre-employment drug screen and background check are required.
• Certification in First-Aid and CPR is required; Pro-Act certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Advance client’s decision‑making, productivity and participation in daily activities.
• Facilitate inclusion in positive community experiences.
• Implement behavior management plans and individual training and support programs under supervision.
• Assess individuals in crisis to determine their needs.
• Follow mandated reporting laws and seek help in emergencies.
• Oversee client activities and environment to ensure health and safety.
