Job summary

Adjoin is seeking a Direct Support Professional in Fresno to support individuals with disabilities in daily living and community participation. You will assist with meals, routines and mobility, while promoting independence and safety.

Responsibilities include planning activities, documenting progress and transporting clients to appointments; a valid CA license and clean driving record are required. 18+ with HS diploma and CPR/First Aid certification preferred.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Aptitude for confidentiality, organizational skills and good interpersonal skills.
• Certification in an approved First-Aid and CPR class; or successful completion within 45 days of hire.
• Insured, registered vehicle with CA license and valid insurance.
• Pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

• Advance client’s decision-making, productivity and participation in daily activities.
• Facilitate inclusion in positive community experiences.
• Promote independence while supporting meals, grooming and daily living tasks.
• Maintain current knowledge of client needs and safety requirements.
• Transport clients to appointments and community activities; ensure safety.
