Job summary

Phoenix Family is seeking Life Coaches to provide evidence-based coaching to residents living in affordable housing communities, helping them set and achieve goals to exit poverty. This full-time, in-person role serves multiple Phoenix Family-supported communities.

The Life Coach collaborates with the CEO project team and specialized resource navigators, delivering coaching, managing barriers, and contributing to program evaluation and outcomes.

Qualifications

• Trauma-informed coaching experience with families.
• Experience addressing barriers faced by people living in poverty.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and organizational abilities.
• Knowledge of Kansas City's neighborhoods and ability to work across the community.

Responsibilities

• Meet resident families to set and meet goals to exit poverty using coaching methods.
• Collaborate with the CEO project team and Phoenix Family to engage participants.
• Coordinate with Specialized Resource Navigators and community resources to remove barriers to employment.
• Document quality demographic and programmatic data for management and reporting.
• Complete intensive training on the CEO model and implement coaching practices.
• Identify opportunities for program improvement and adjust strategies accordingly.
• Research best practices related to coaching and poverty alleviation.
• Analyze program data against national trends to inform changes.
• Act as a positive representative of the agency and its mission.
