Job summary

Greene County Public Library in Xenia, OH seeks a part-time Circulation Clerk to support day, evening, and weekend operations. You will check in/out materials, collect fines, assist patrons, and help maintain an efficient circulation area with a computerized system.

Responsibilities include processing new/donated/withdrawn items, sorting materials, and providing friendly customer service while upholding library policies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent combination of experience and training.
• 1 year of Customer Service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Check out and check in materials using computerized system; collect fines and charges; enter renewals and reserves.
• Sort materials for shelving and handle book-drop, delivery, returns.
• Assist patrons in finding books and materials; respond to questions by phone or in person.
• Perform opening/closing procedures and handle fine money.
• Process new materials, donations and withdrawn items; repair/delpacage damaged items.
• Attend staff trainings and stay updated via emails and meetings.
