Job summary

Woodcraft Rangers is seeking a Community Liaison to support TK-12 after-school programs in the South Gate area. The role focuses on building relationships with participants, families, and the community, while managing sign-ins, rosters, and communications about events and field trips.

The position is part-time and on-site, with potential trainings at the main office and site locations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, energetic, and able to work both independently and with a team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Livescan clearance, TB test clearance, and First Aid/CPR certification are required.
• 6 months supervising children or 6 child development units are required.
• Assessment test covering math, reading comprehension, and spelling is required.
• Cerritos ABC district candidates must have 48+ college units or special test completion.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safety and inclusive environment for all participants.
• Assist with sign-in/out and family communications during pick-up.
• Monitor attendance and engagement in program activities.
• Organize registration forms, rosters, and site information.
• Support site coordinators with reports and events.
• Fill in for clubs or staff as needed.
• Attend trainings and participate in staff development.
• Follow safety protocols and document required certifications.
