Job summary

Woodcraft Rangers is seeking a part-time Community Liaison to support after-school programs in Moreno Valley. You will oversee daily sign-ins/sign-outs, maintain rosters, and ensure families receive timely program information and updates.

The role emphasizes building positive relationships with youth, families, and staff, while handling field trips, communications, and event support. Training and safety compliance are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• FBI & DOJ Livescan clearance.
• TB Test clearance.
• First Aid & CPR certification (provided by WR).
• 6 months experience supervising a group of children in a school or recreational setting OR 6 units in child development.
• ForABC Unified School District (Cerritos) Candidates ONLY - 48+ College Units or ABC Unified Paraeducator Test Completion.
• Must successfully pass an assessment test evaluating skills in math, reading comprehension, and spelling.

Responsibilities

• Ensure students are always in a safe environment and promote an inclusive, welcoming environment for all program participants, staff, and families.
• Support club leaders with sign-in/out procedures and parent communication during sign-out; ensure attendance rosters are accurate.
• Monitor participant attendance and engagement to ensure participants are present and actively engaged in program activities.
• Organize and maintain participant registration forms, site information binder, and site directory board; ensure staff access to necessary documents.
• Assist site coordinator with collecting and organizing cycle reports and other required reports.
• Assist team with site-based events.
• Serve as a substitute or fill in for a club when needed for breaks or lunch.
• Build positive relationships with participants, colleagues, and all stakeholders.
• Comply with safety requirements and emergency protocols, including up-to-date trainings and certifications.
• May attend off-site field trips.
• Participate in staff development trainings (~15 hours over weekends/intersessional days in spring).
• Other related duties as assigned.
