Westchester Medical Center Health Network is seeking a Community Liaison to serve as a trusted bridge with the Jewish Orthodox community, ensuring culturally sensitive care and a positive patient and family experience within the healthcare setting.
The role focuses on advocacy, education, resource coordination, and feedback collection, with responsibilities including liaison duties with patients, families, and providers, and collaboration with religious accommodations and patient rights
Community Liaison will serve as a trusted member of and/or have a thorough understanding of the Jewish Orthodox community. This role will serve as a bridge between patients, their families, and healthcare providers, ensuring culturally sensitive care and support ensuring an exceptional patient family and visitor experience.
Experience: 1–2 years of experience in community relations, health outreach, communications, or a similar role (healthcare or nonprofit experience preferred).
Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills, and ability to engage with community stakeholders. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and comfort with data entry and tracking systems. Ability to work independently. Flexibility to attend events outside standard business hours.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Public Health, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
