Job summary

Brighthaven in San Jose, CA seeks a Leasing Specialist to manage leasing, marketing, and resident relations within our community. You will greet prospects, qualify leads, process applications, and coordinate move-ins while maintaining responsive service.

This role requires 2+ years in sales or customer relations, bilingual English/Spanish preferred, and ability to work flexible hours including some evenings and weekends. Proficiency with Yardi Voyager is a plus.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of sales and/or customer relations experience.
• Experience in low-income housing and tax credits is highly desired.
• Bilingual (English & Spanish) highly desired.
• Thrives in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexible schedule that may include evenings and weekends.
• Solid computer knowledge, Windows (Word, Excel), internet, and e-mail
• Working knowledge of Yardi Voyager Property Management software

Responsibilities

• Greet and qualify all prospects.
• Record all telephone and in-person visits on guest cards.
• Inspect models and communicate needs to Community Manager.
• Demonstrate community and apartment features; close the sale.
• Have prospect complete the application and secure a deposit per procedures.
• Update availability report and process applications for approvals.
• Ensure apartment is ready for move-in on the agreed date.
• Follow up on prospects and refer to sister communities if needed.
• Secure signatures and orient new residents to the community.
• Assist in monitoring renewals and distribute renewal notices.
• Type leases, input data in Yardi, and maintain resident files.
• Distribute notices and maintain monthly commission records.
• Assist management with various tasks and uphold community policies.
• Support resident retention and respond to maintenance requests promptly.
• Communicate with managers to keep operations smooth and compliant.
