Job summary

HarborChase, LLC. is seeking a Cook to assist in menu preparation, inventory control, and maintaining a clean, safe kitchen environment. The role focuses on preparing appealing meals while adhering to residents’ dietary needs and nutritional guidelines.

The position requires knowledge of state regulations, OSHA standards, and food-handling procedures. Experience with large groups is preferred and certification in food preparation is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school education is required.
• Experience cooking for large groups is a plus.
• Certified in food-preparation training preferred.
• Knowledge of state food-handling and kitchen regulations.
• Knowledge of OSHA standards and fire and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Identify and report food and supplies needed for the next week’s menus.
• Assist in receiving, rotation, and storage of products.
• Prepare menus and cook food per nutritional guidelines and residents’ diets.
• Assist in fostering residents’ independence with eating with adaptive equipment when needed.
• Prepare food and coordinate food services for special community events when requested.
• Notify Dir. of Food and Beverage or any malfunctioning kitchen equipment or appliances.
• Ensure proper storage and handling of food per infection control standards.
