Job summary

Amity Foundation in Los Angeles seeks a compassionate Cook to prepare three balanced meals daily for the program, ensuring sanitation, nutrition, and timely service. The role emphasizes following recipes for quality and cost control while supporting student training in food service.

Requirements include a HS diploma or GED, 1 year of related culinary experience, a valid CA driver’s license, and ServeSafe certification.

Qualifications

• One year related culinary experience and/or training.
• Current state driver's license.
• ServeSafe Certification.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Maintain confidentiality and high ethical standards.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and present three balanced meals daily for the program.
• Assist in food ordering and storage meeting CDPH and LA County standards.
• Follow rotating monthly menu and maintain kitchen hygiene.
• Train students in cooking, presentation, and daily hygiene.
• Attend Community Building day activities and follow schedules.
