Qualifications

• Possess a High School diploma or GED.
• One year in a commercial kitchen or food service.
• Valid California Class C driver's license and clean driving record.
• Current food handlers card or willingness to certify on hire.
• Passed background check and satisfactory results.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve meals for residents and participants.
• Maintain a compliant commercial kitchen per state regs.
• Safely operate and maintain kitchen equipment.
• Assist with creating a 30-day meal program menu.
• Order and receive supplies from donors and vendors.
• Inventory food service and kitchen supplies regularly.
• Store food items properly and monitor quality.
• Keep kitchen, pantry and adjacents clean.
• Store supplies securely at shift end for next activity.
