Job summary

RISE Services LLC is hiring a compassionate Job Coach / Employment Specialist to help individuals with disabilities prepare for, obtain, and maintain meaningful employment in Winchester, VA. The role involves community-based coaching at worksites throughout Winchester and surrounding Frederick County, with travel between locations.

A bachelor’s degree is not required, and training is provided. Pay ranges $21.00–$22.00 per hour for up to 29 hours weekly, with potential to transition to full-time

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree not required.
• Experience supporting individuals with disabilities preferred.
• Ability to travel locally and transport participants.
• Strong communication, organization, and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized coaching at employer worksites and in community settings.
• Help participants learn job duties, workplace routines, safety procedures, and employer expectations.
• Teach workplace communication, professional behavior, time management, and problem-solving skills.
• Help participants communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers.
• Develop natural workplace supports that promote greater independence.
• Monitor participant progress and adjust coaching strategies as participants develop new skills.
• Provide ongoing support to promote successful employment retention.
• Assist participants with resumes, applications, job searches, and interview preparation.
• Coordinate interviews, hiring activities, and onboarding support.
• Maintain participant records and required documentation.
