RISE Services is seeking an Employment Specialist / Job Coach for a part-time, community-based role in Winchester, VA, with regular local travel. The position focuses on individualized career planning, job development, and on-the-job coaching to support individuals with disabilities in obtaining and maintaining meaningful employment.

You will work directly at employer worksites, providing tailored supports, resume development, interview preparation, and retention strategies to help participants

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in human services or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience supporting individuals with disabilities or barriers to employment.
• Strong communication, coaching, organization, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to travel regularly and have a valid driver's license.
• Ability to meet background-check and employment requirements.

Responsabilidades

• Assess participants' strengths, interests, skills, support needs, and career goals.
• Develop individualized, person-centered employment plans.
• Identify barriers to employment and connect participants with appropriate resources and supports.
• Help participants develop resumes, complete applications, and prepare for interviews.
• Conduct mock interviews and teach workplace communication, professional behavior, time management, and other employment-readiness skills.
