Job summary

RISE Services is hiring a part-time Job Coach / Employment Specialist to help individuals with disabilities find and maintain meaningful employment in Wilmington and surrounding areas. The role involves meeting participants at worksites, exploring career interests, and providing training and support to achieve long-term independence.

The position offers up to 29 hours per week, daytime hours, travel within the community, and mileage reimbursement for approved travel.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting individuals with disabilities or barriers to employment preferred.
• Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to work independently and complete documentation on time.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site job coaching at employer worksites and community settings.
• Assist with resumes, applications, job searches, and interview preparation.
• Conduct mock interviews and employment-readiness activities.
• Coordinate interviews, hiring activities, and onboarding support.
• Identify employment opportunities that match participant goals and skills.
• Document progress notes and maintain participant records.
