Job summary

Goodwill Columbus is hiring a Community Integration Specialist to help individuals in disability services become more active and connected in their community. The role offers pay of $17.50/hour and requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and background checks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass background checks for disability services roles.
• Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office & web-based apps).
• Experience in disability services helpful but not required; paid training provided.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals in the community as they attend classes, participate in events, volunteer, and enjoy hobbies.
• Help people build independent living skills including planning, communication, and basic money management.
• Encourage friendships, social engagement, and stronger community connections.
• Provide safe, reliable transportation to community outings and activities.
• Document progress through the Individualized Service Plan (ISP).
• Work closely with families and disability service stakeholders to support each person’s goals.
