Job summary

The Arc Fresno/Madera Counties is seeking a Community Engagement Specialist to provide individualized and group services to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, helping them integrate into the community.

The role involves designing activities and curricula to build daily living skills, promoting inclusive opportunities, and coordinating with local nonprofits to expand community participation.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Two or more years of experience serving individuals with IDD preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized and group services to individuals with IDD to support community integration.
• Develop enriching community activities and curricula to develop daily living skills.
• Promote person-centered planning and services.
• Build and maintain positive community relations and collaboration with nonprofits.
• Document progress daily for billing and reporting purposes.
• Attend IDT meetings and complete annual person-centered assessments.
• Provide transportation and promote community independence as needed.

Education
