Job summary

Embrace Living Communities is seeking a Housekeeper I to clean public and common areas, and vacant units before move-ins, ensuring welcoming homes for residents. You will contribute to a safe, tidy living environment and support a positive team culture.

Responsibilities include disinfecting spaces, maintaining supplies, performing light maintenance, and cooperating with maintenance staff to uphold quality standards across the housing community.

Qualifications

• Education and/or Experience – High School diploma or GED.
• Language Skills – Read, write simple correspondence; present to residents and team.
• Mathematical Skills – Add, subtract, multiply, divide.
• Computer Skills – Proficient in email, record keeping, and routine database activity.

Responsibilities

• Creates a respectful living environment aligned with the organization's mission, vision, and values.
• Promotes harmonious relations among residents, guests, team members, vendors, and local partners; acts as workplace mentor as needed.
• Supports a wellness culture that encourages active aging and living well.
• Cleans, disinfects, sweeps, mops, scrubs, dusts, vacuums, washes, polishes, and wipes walls, floors, surfaces in common areas; empties trash; cleans refrigerators and ovens in common areas.
• Cleans public restrooms to maintain sanitary conditions and restock supplies.
• Cleans vacant apartments after move-out and assists in routine maintenance prior to new move-ins.
• Performs light maintenance such as replacing batteries.
• Reports damage or safety concerns to management and maintenance.
• Follows policies in the Plant Operations and Procedures Manual; maintains Safety Data Sheets and adheres to OSHA requirements.
• Maintains an inventory of supplies and works to keep the housing community maintained cost-effectively.
