Jane Pauley Community Health Center is seeking a Patient Service Representative to serve as the first point of contact for patients, providing scheduling, registration, and insurance verification services across the JPCHC network. The role requires reliable transportation and flexibility to support multiple practice sites.

The position focuses on delivering a welcoming patient experience while supporting the clinic's mission to provide accessible, compassionate care to communities across Indiana.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is preferred.
• Knowledge of medical office practices is required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• 2+ years of ambulatory healthcare experience preferred.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to travel between JPCHC locations as needed.
• Proficiency with data entry and basic computer tasks.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients in a professional, friendly manner.
• Schedule appointments and handle inbound calls.
• Collect and verify patient demographics and insurance information in the EHR.
• Determine eligibility for financial assistance and gather necessary documents.
• Process co-payments according to procedures.
• Handle medical record requests and respond to messages within one business day.
• Maintain waiting area cleanliness and organization.
• Provide coverage across JPCHC locations as needed.
• Participate in departmental and organizational meetings.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
