Qualifications

• Graduate degree from ACPE-accredited college and active pharmacist licensure in MA
• Pharmacy degree (B.Pharm or PharmD) required or higher; MTM certification preferred
• CPR or CPR/AED certification required
• Vaccination against influenza/other vaccines in accordance with Mass.gov and organizational policy
• Infection control practices and regulatory compliance are mandatory throughout operations
• Experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or patient-facing setting preferred
• Ability to monitor drug therapies and communicate interventions to physicians and patients
• Strong data analytics, reporting, and documentation skills
• Ability to supervise staff and coordinate workflow in a team-based environment

Responsibilities

• Provides pharmacy information by answering questions and counseling healthcare professionals and patients
• Develops clinic staff’s pharmacy knowledge through clinical programs and staff training
• Performs medication reconciliation and comprehensive medication reviews based on patient needs
• Identifies barriers to adherence and develops plans to improve medication-taking behavior
• Complies with state and federal drug laws and regulations
• Maintains records for controlled substances and manages inventory integrity
• Maintains 340B drug inventory as applicable
• Supervises the work of support personnel
• Maintains current professional registration and licensure
• Protects patients and staff by adhering to infection-control practices
• Ensures a safe, clean working environment and compliance with procedures
• Contributes to team efforts and performs other duties as assigned
