Qualifications

• Minimum one year of experience, preferably in healthcare or social services.
• Familiarity with health insurance programs and public coverage options is preferred.
• Ability to engage the public during outreach activities and communicate effectively in groups.
• Willingness to travel between sites and interact with diverse populations.
• Strong relationship-building skills and ability to work with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Provide unbiased information about health insurance options, including marketplace plans and Medicaid.
• Offer in-person and virtual enrollment assistance to eligible individuals.
• Conduct community outreach via social media, canvassing, events, and presentations.
• Deliver culturally and linguistically appropriate information and enrollment support.
• Assist with portal setup, affordability applications, eligibility determinations, and enrollment processes.
• Educate clients about coverage options and renewal assistance for insured individuals.
• Collaborate with the Community Health Program Manager and partners to promote activities.
• Develop and implement outreach plans with the team to meet program goals.
• Distribute outreach materials to raise awareness about coverage options.
• Ensure staff comply with federal and state consumer assistance training requirements.
• Collect data on uninsured patients using the sliding scale and track outcomes.
• Coordinate enrollment into Health Marketplaces, Medicaid, All Kids, or CHIP.
• Attend training, webinars, and meetings for ongoing professional development.
