YAI - Seeing beyond disability seeks a Direct Support Professional (DSP) for Community Habilitation in Rockland County, NY. You will provide one-to-one support to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, teaching life skills and promoting community integration.

The role supports health, safety, and well-being, requires training completion, and offers flexible schedules including mornings, evenings, and weekends, with part-time and full-time opportunities.

Qualifications

• Interpersonal and problem-solving abilities are essential.
• Ability to communicate clearly and work with diverse individuals.
• Willingness to take initiative in a supportive role.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one supports in community and home settings.
• Adhere to policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Complete mandatory trainings (AMAP, CPR/First Aid, SCIP-R, Defensive Driving).
• Meet OPWDD Core Competencies.
• Ensure health, safety and proper supervision of individuals supported.
• Assist with ADLs as needed.
• Transport and accompany individuals on activities and appointments.
• Document to ensure compliance and billing.
