Job summary

Wavytalk, a fast-growing digital-first beauty brand, seeks a Community & Engagement Manager in NYC to own and scale its community ecosystem. You will turn conversations into insights, convert users into advocates, and drive long-term brand equity through TYB platform growth and ambassador initiatives.

You’ll work with marketing, brand, and product teams to translate community insights into actionable recommendations, while collaborating with content to shape engaging experiences and events.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in community management, influencer relations, partnerships, or brand marketing.
• Experience growing online communities across social media platforms.
• Strong background in influencer marketing and ambassador programs.
• Experience in event planning from activations to brand events.
• Understanding of social listening tools and trend forecasting.

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day engagement across all community touchpoints (social, DMs, comments, TYB, etc.).
• Grow and nurture Wavytalk’s community and expand TYB platform usage.
• Build a consistent brand voice across interactions: playful, confident, community-first.
• Identify high-value community members to deepen loyalty and advocacy.
• Lead social listening for trends and product feedback to inform strategy.
• Scale Brand Ambassador Program with onboarding, engagement, and retention structures.
• Plan and execute community events, virtual and in-person, like workshops and launches.
• Collaborate with content team to translate insights into content direction.
