Job summary

Sun Communities is hiring a Maintenance Technician for Saddle Oak Club in Ocala, Florida. You will perform routine and preventative maintenance to keep homes, facilities, grounds, and utilities in good condition and provide excellent service to residents.

Responsibilities include daily site upkeep, minor repairs, lawn care, safety, and reporting issues. A high school diploma and basic tools knowledge are required; on-site work with ability to lift 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 6 months maintenance experience preferred.
• 6 months snow removal experience preferred (if applicable).
• Must lift at least 50 lbs.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Basic computer proficiency including email & internet use.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventative maintenance on homes, facilities, and grounds.
• Complete minor repairs to rental homes and facilities as needed.
• Inspect irrigation and water systems; perform repairs as necessary.
• Maintain vacant sites and remove trash and debris.
• Move snow with plow, salt, or shovel where applicable.
• Keep community streets and areas free of hazards.
• Operate tools, equipment, and minor machinery safely.
• Report maintenance issues to the supervisor.
