Job summary

North Carolina A&T State University seeks a Cabarrus County CRD Agent focused on community food systems. You will lead county and community programs addressing local needs identified through community assessments, coordinating work across consumers, businesses, markets, and policymakers.

You will connect residents with local food sources by supporting growers, stores, markets, pantries and food banks, identify grants, and collaborate with external organizations to expand programs and increase

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with GPA 2.5 overall or a 3.0 in the major field of study, or completion of a Master's degree.
• Personal automobile and valid driver's license.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to plan, implement, market, and evaluate educational programs.
• Willingness to work as a team member and support a total Extension program.

Responsibilities

• Lead county and community programs and initiatives to strengthen the local food system.
• Connect residents with local food sources by supporting growers, producers, stores, markets, pantries and food banks.
• Identify grants and funding opportunities to support programs in Cabarrus County.
• Collaborate with external organizations to enhance existing programs and develop new initiatives.
