Job summary

NC State Extension seeks an Extension Agent, FCS (Assistant, Associate or Full Agent) to lead and implement the Family and Consumer Sciences program for Onslow County, NC. You will conduct needs assessments, deliver research-based nutrition education, and evaluate programs to guide future directions.

Responsibilities include volunteer management, collaboration with local agencies, outreach events, and reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with GPA thresholds as listed in the requirements.
• Master’s degree in family and consumer sciences or related field.
• 2.0 or higher GPA waivers apply for some positions.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and implementation of FCS programs in Onslow County.
• Conduct needs assessments, interactive learning, and evaluations.
• Support nutrition education and healthy lifestyles curricula across ages.
• Recruit, train, and coordinate volunteers; collaborate with partners.
• Travel within the county; prepare reports and engage stakeholders.
