Job summary

Wilson Bank & Trust is seeking a Commercial Lending Assistant to provide administrative and operational support to the lending team in Lebanon, TN. You will assist customers with loan applications, gather documentation, and help prepare disclosures to facilitate closings.

You will liaise with underwriters, processors, and lenders to ensure complete, compliant files and timely closings. This role emphasizes customer service, accuracy, and teamwork within a community-focused bank.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• 1 year of banking experience preferred.
• Knowledge of lending regulations and compliance is preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and standard software applications.
• Ability to obtain and maintain Notary Public license for document notarization.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative and operational support to the lending team.
• Assist customers with the loan application process and gather required documentation.
• Respond to customer issues and escalate when needed to improve service.
• Organize and maintain loan documentation and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate with underwriters, processors, and lenders to meet requirements.
• Serve as a liaison between lenders, customers, realtors, attorneys, and internal teams.
• Manage schedules for lenders and assist in loan closings.
• Generate reports to monitor loan statuses and assist decision-making.
• Refer banking products and services when appropriate.
• Maintain knowledge through education and professional networks.
