Job summary

Community First Credit Union is seeking a Teller to deliver WOW service while handling cash, checks, and payments with accuracy across high-volume transactions. You will engage members, explain banking options, and uphold security while balancing tills daily.

The ideal candidate has at least one year of cash handling experience, strong listening and verbal skills, and a positive, solution-oriented attitude to help members with financial needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of cash handling experience; Teller experience is a plus.
• Excellent listening ability and verbal communication skills.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite and web-based software packages.
• Passion for providing outstanding service to our members.
• The ability to work hard, find solutions, and have fun.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional, WOW service to internal and external members.
• Receive cash and checks for deposit into members' accounts.
• Cash checks for members.
• Accept loan and credit card payments.
• Make transactions between accounts as instructed by members.
• Place proper holds on deposited items for uncollected funds following policy and procedure.
• Handle proper disbursement of cashier's checks, money orders, and gift cards.
• Identify non-negotiable and fraudulent checks to avoid losses for the member and the credit union.
• Accurately balance and close cash drawer at the end of each business day.
• Promote, cross-sell, and refer credit union products and services to fulfill member financial needs.
