Job summary

The Israeli American Council (IAC) South Florida seeks a part-time Events and Programs Support Associate in Aventura to assist with welcoming, well-organized programs and community events. The role focuses on on-site logistics and operations.

You will help with setup and breakdown, guest check-in, activities for children, coordinating with staff, volunteers, performers and vendors, and ensuring spaces remain organized and inviting. Flexible evenings, weekends, and some holidays are required.

• Available to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and occasional holidays.
• Able to stand for extended periods and assist with event setup and breakdown.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace; familiarity with event registration platforms is a plus.
• Experience with events, hospitality, community programs, customer service, or children's activities.
• Familiarity with the Israeli American and Jewish community.
• Fluency in Hebrew and English.

Responsibilities

• Set up and break down event spaces, including tables, chairs, supplies, signage, and activity stations.
• Welcome guests, manage check-in, answer basic questions, and direct attendees.
• Support staff, volunteers, performers, and vendors during events.
• Assist with children’s and family activities while parents or guardians supervise.
• Keep event areas organized, stocked, and presentable.
• Help with attendance records, supplies, and other event follow-up tasks.
• Assist with larger community events, including outdoor work and longer shifts.
• Operate an activity station during events, encourage participation, and foster a welcoming environment.
• Participate in planning meetings to review goals, schedule, and roles.
