Job summary

The Council on Aging of Volusia County, Inc. seeks a Community Engagement Liaison to strengthen public engagement and outreach. This role links COA with volunteers, clients, and donors while coordinating the volunteer program and outreach activities.

You will cultivate donor relations, build partnerships with local organizations, and help plan and implement programs and events. Strong communication and collaboration across departments are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and two years related experience required.
• Ability to recruit volunteers and manage a volunteer program.
• Strong written and verbal communication; proficient with office software.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with departments to assess volunteer needs and opportunities.
• Recruits volunteers and maintains volunteer skills and availability records.
• Promotes programs and sponsorships including Meals on Wheels Adopt-a-Route.
• Plans volunteer recognition events and content for newsletters.
• Develops guidelines for the volunteer program and SOPs.
• Maintains communication with volunteers and media libraries.
• Builds partnerships with local organizations to expand support networks.
• Schedules presentations and community trainings; engages potential clients and partners.
• Supports event logistics and fundraising activities.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
