Job summary

Housing Opportunities Commission of Montgomery County (HOC) seeks a Community Engagement Supervisor to lead a team of Community Engagement Specialists in Montgomery County, MD. This full-time role focuses on implementing engagement strategies and partnerships to support Cradle-to-Career and Whole Family approaches.

Hybrid work option after probation; the supervisor will oversee performance, conduct site visits, and coordinate with Resident Services to serve families with safe, affordable housing.

Qualifications

• At least five (5) years of experience in Social Work, Social Services, or a related field.
• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Human Services, Psychology, Sociology or a related field.
• Ability to lead and supervise a team and coordinate with partners.

Responsibilities

• Directly supervise nine Community Engagement Specialists and four Community Aides.
• Oversee staff performance and ensure standards.
• Provide guidance and tools to staff to excel.
• Conduct site visits to monitor performance.
• Support Cradle-to-Career and Whole Family approaches in daily work.
• Perform administrative duties including timecards and evaluations.
