Job description

Job Overview

This position is available exclusively to Union College students who have been awarded Work-Study. The role focuses on administering projects and events for the Kenney Center for Community Engagement and Outreach, connecting students with community opportunities in Schenectady and surrounding areas.

Location: Kenney Center, Schenectady, NY
Supervisor: Kevin Trigonis
Rate of Pay: $9.70 per hour
Hours/Shift Availability: As available; at least one Common Hour (12:50–1:40 pm) per week

Responsibilities
  • Recruit Union students for local community-based organizations.
  • Participate in face‑to‑face outreach including public speaking, leafleting, and tabling on campus.
  • Engage in passive outreach via social media, email, poster distribution, and written communications.
  • Perform general administrative tasks such as office duties, research, organization, event set‑up, and flyer posting.
  • Support large‑scale community engagement events, including service days, collaborative events with local schools, and division‑wide programs.

  • Union College student eligible for Work‑Study.
  • Available to work at least one Common Hour each week.
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • General proficiency in Google Workspace.
