Job summary

WGBA, the NBC affiliate in Green Bay, Wisconsin, is hiring a Senior Manager of Community Connections within The E.W. Scripps Company.

You will be the station's primary link to the community, building trusted relationships with civic, nonprofit, business, education and government leaders and turning insights into stronger journalism and partnerships. You will lead the newsroom’s daily community engagement, coordinate forums and town halls, and ensure timely responses to audience inquiries while

Qualifications

• BS/BA in related discipline or equivalent years of experience preferred.
• 7+ years of progressively responsible experience in community engagement, journalism, nonprofit leadership, communications, public affairs, partnership development, government relations, or related fields.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with community stakeholders to understand priorities and opportunities.
• Gather, analyze, and communicate community insights to station leadership and partners.
• Identify story opportunities and support audience engagement across community channels.
• Represent the station as primary community liaison with civic, nonprofit, business, educational, and government organizations.
• Lead planning and execution of forums, town halls, and public-service initiatives.
• Develop a market-wide community engagement strategy aligned with station priorities.
