Job summary

Four Corners Legacy Law, a growing boutique estate planning and estate administration firm in New York’s Capital Region and Northern Hudson Valley, seeks a Business Development Specialist. You will own community-based business development, build referral networks, identify speaking and partnership opportunities, and expand the firm’s presence across the Capital Region.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of relevant professional experience in business development, relationship development, community engagement, field marketing, event marketing, membership development, or a similar externally facing role.
• Demonstrated ability to initiate and develop professional relationships rather than relying solely on inbound opportunities.
• Strong interpersonal skills and confidence initiating conversations with people you do not know.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple relationships, events, deadlines, and initiatives simultaneously.
• Ability to travel regularly throughout the firm’s service area.
• Comfort with technology, including CRM and cloud-based business systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop relationships with financial advisors, CPAs, insurance professionals, senior-care professionals, and other strategic partners.
• Initiate outreach to prospective referral partners and community contacts.
• Maintain consistent follow-up with new and existing relationships.
• Identify opportunities for continued collaboration, referrals, education, and partnership.
• Identify and pursue speaking opportunities for firm attorneys.
• Develop potential community partnerships, sponsorships, and collaborative educational opportunities.
• Maintain accurate relationship and activity information within firm systems.
