D51 Foundation is seeking a Community and Development Coordinator to advance fundraising, donor engagement, and community partnerships in Mesa County. The role focuses on donor cultivation, outreach, events, and communications to support District 51 students and staff.

The position emphasizes relationship-building with sponsors, businesses, educators, and volunteers, plus managing donor records and annual giving initiatives in a nonprofit setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in nonprofit management, communications, marketing, public relations, business, education or related field.
• Experience with donor cultivation, stewardship, sponsorships or major gifts.
• Experience with donor database systems.
• Grant writing and/or reporting experience.

Responsibilities

• Support implementation of annual fundraising and donor cultivation strategies.
• Identify, cultivate, and steward individual, corporate, and community prospects.
• Build and manage relationships with donors, sponsors, businesses, and community partners.
• Conduct donor outreach through meetings, calls, events, and personalized follow-up.
• Support the Executive Director with donor cultivation, solicitation, presentations, and major gift opportunities.
• Represent the Foundation at community events, meetings, and business functions.
• Coordinate sponsorship proposals, agreements, renewals, and fulfillment.
• Develop donor recognition and stewardship practices.
• Manage communications and storytelling to demonstrate impact.
