Job summary

The Town of Wake Forest Parks, Recreation, and Cultural Resources Department seeks a skilled professional to plan, implement, and supervise community center programs for youth, adults, and seniors. You will establish schedules, coordinate contracted instructors, and monitor budgets while delivering excellent customer service.

A four-year degree in recreation administration or related field and substantial experience are required; a valid NC driver’s license and CPR/First Aid/AED certification

Qualifications

  • Four-year college degree in recreation administration, physical education, or related field; substantial experience in recreation/athletics programming.
  • Possession of a valid North Carolina driver's license is required.
  • CPR/First Aid/AED certification is required.

Responsibilities

  • Develops, plans, organizes, implements, and evaluates community services and recreation programs, including events and contracted services.
  • Establishes schedules and methods for providing recreation services and allocates resources accordingly.
  • Participates in budgeting and monitors expenditures for the recreation programs.
  • Manages scheduling for all part-time Recreation Center Supervisors and ensures quality customer service.
  • Coordinates partnerships with agencies and groups for programming and assists with facility rentals.
  • Supports development of marketing materials and long-range plans for community programming.
