Job summary

City of Woburn is seeking a full-time Recreation Department Program Coordinator to plan, coordinate, and supervise community programs and events under the Recreation Director. The role requires independent and team collaboration with flexibility for evenings and weekends.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in Recreation & Leisure Studies and 1–3 years of related experience, plus tech-savvy skills in Office, CMS, Canva, and social media. CPR/First Aid and a valid license are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Recreation & Leisure Studies or related field.
• 1–3 years of related experience in development and implementation of recreational, social, and cultural programs.

Responsibilities

• Oversee, plan, and coordinate a variety of recreation activities and events.
• Develop promotional materials for program communication (brochures, social media, website, email).
• Monitor day-to-day operation of seasonal programs and camps; manage inventory and payroll data; address residents’ inquiries and complaints.
• Ensure safety by supervising instructors and staff; inspect facilities and equipment; report repairs.
• Update program information on the department website; track registrations, demographics, revenue, and marketing materials.
