Job summary

REM Community Services, part of Sevita, is seeking a caregiver to support individuals with developmental disabilities in community settings. You’ll assist with personal hygiene and help participants engage in daily activities and community participation.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: Six months in human services, direct care, or care coordination preferred.
• Skills: Communication, adaptability, multi-tasking, teamwork, time-management.
• Behaviors: Patient, compassionate, reliable, responsible.
• Vehicle: Valid driver’s license and access to a registered vehicle with proof of insurance.

Responsibilities

• Assist people with personal hygiene and support individuals with behavioral challenges and other complex needs.
• Help participants reach developmental goals such as budgeting, exercise, and nutrition.
• Develop relationships and promote independence by encouraging participation in community activities.
• Maintain clear communication with supervisors and document care as required.
