Job summary

REM Community Services, part of Sevita, is seeking a compassionate caregiver to help individuals live well and grow in their communities. You’ll assist with personal care, support daily living activities, and foster meaningful connections to promote independence.

Ideal candidates bring at least a high school diploma, six months in human services, a valid driver’s license, and a desire to empower participants through budgeting, fitness, and nutrition goals.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Six months of experience in human services, direct care, or care coordination preferred.
• Valid driver's license and access to a registered vehicle with proof of insurance.

Responsibilities

• Assist participants with personal hygiene and support individuals who can have behavioral challenges and other complex needs.
• Help participants with budgeting, exercise, and nutrition as part of their development goals.
• Develop real, meaningful relationships with the individuals you serve and take initiative to engage them in the community.
• Collaborate with supervisors and care teams to ensure participant wellbeing and safety.
• Demonstrate patience, compassion, reliability, and responsibility in daily care activities.
