Job summary

The United Way of Southwestern Pennsylvania is seeking an 211 Care Coordinator to assist individuals in navigating complex social service systems. The role builds knowledge in workforce development, public benefits, and basic needs, acting as a triage point to connect callers with trusted community partners.

This grant-funded role continues through December 2027, with a salary range of $38,000 to $44,000 per year.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and at least 2 years of human services, social or related nonprofit experience.
• Bachelor’s degree and/or certified community health worker experience preferred.
• Combination of experience and education may be considered in lieu of education.

Responsibilities

• Assist callers in navigating complex social service systems.
• Develop knowledge in workforce development, public benefits, and basic needs to triage and connect callers with trusted community partners.
• Monitor progress of referrals and track outcomes to support program success.
