Qualifications

• Formal training in behavioral health, usually a major in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling or Criminal Justice as part of a Bachelor’s Degree.
• Maintains current knowledge of standards of care through continuing education.
• Valid state-issued driver’s license is required.

Responsibilities

• Screening, assessment, and engagement of individuals and families.
• Identifies risk factors (suicidal/homicidal ideation) and ensures intervention and follow-up.
• Coordinates services across healthcare, behavioral health, housing, and social services.
• Maintains timely documentation in the EHR and attends treatment team meetings.
• Schedules appointments and supports transportation to reduce barriers to care.
• Advocates for access to appropriate services and resources.
