Job summary

Liberty Bank is seeking a Universal Banker to lead customer experiences across Retail Branch locations in Connecticut. You will develop deep relationships through proactive discovery conversations and deliver exceptional service while supporting branch operations and internal partnerships.

The role emphasizes accurate processing of transactions, product knowledge expansion, and a strong emphasis on compliance and community involvement within the Liberty Bank network.

Qualifications

• College degree or equivalent work experience preferred.
• Minimum 6 months of Retail Banking or equivalent Sales experience.
• Proficient computer skills including Word, Excel, Outlook.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to ask questions and identify customer needs.
• Attention to detail and policy adherence.
• Ability to take initiative and work independently.
• Sound decision-making balancing risk and customer experience.
• Ability to foster a positive team/work environment.
• Ability to proactively plan the day for branch sales and operations.
• Availability to work weekends or extended hours.
• NMLS registration under the SAFE Act is required.

Responsibilities

• Provides on-site Branch Operations Supervisor coverage for multiple branches as assigned.
• Engages customers with greeting and acknowledgment.
• Delivers differentiated service through meaningful conversations.
• Resolves account service issues and responds promptly to inquiries.
• Takes ownership of inquiries and coordinates with teammates as needed.
• Meets/exceeds personal sales goals across banking products and services.
• Uses Discovery Guide to uncover opportunities and recommend solutions.
• Proactively reaches out to customers to retain and grow relationships.
• Documents activities and follow-ups in banking systems.
• Educates customers on digital banking and delivery channels.
• Keeps knowledge up-to-date on products and services via tools and training.
• Processes a wide range of banking transactions accurately, including new accounts and lending.
• Balances customer transactions in line with policies and daily cash procedures.
• Adheres to compliance and risk controls and company policies.
• Participates in special projects and community events.
• Completes other related duties as assigned.
