Job summary

First Interstate Bank in Sioux Falls, SD is seeking a Community Banker to deliver personalized client service and financial solutions at our S. Louise Ave branch.

You will engage clients, uncover needs, and refer opportunities across Home Loans, Treasury Solutions, and Wealth Management while maintaining strong service commitments. You will open and service accounts, assist with loans, and support outreach to grow client relationships.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1-3 years banking or related experience required.
• Registered Mortgage Loan Originator per the SAFE Act within 30 Days required.

Responsibilities

• Delivers personalized client service in person and over the phone by answering questions, assisting with issues, and offering solutions.
• Opens and maintains a variety of products, including consumer and business checking and savings accounts, IRAs, CDs, and consumer and small business credit cards.
• Holds financial conversations with clients and prospects to determine needs and provide appropriate solutions.
• Processes new consumer loan requests; may engage in conversations or process new small business loan requests.
• Identifies referral opportunities to other lines of business and documents referrals and client activity.
• Builds client relationships through outbound outreach and proactive engagement.
• Performs Teller duties as needed, conducting financial transactions and accurately counting currency and coin.
• Stays current on regulatory changes and demonstrates compliance with all bank regulations.
