The role also answers inquiries, resolves issues, and promotes bank products to meet client needs. The position requires cash handling experience and strong interpersonal skills, with duties performed in a full-time, in-person setting across retail banking locations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous banking, client service, or cash handling experience preferred.
• Excellent client service and strong communication skills are essential.
• Ability to multitask in a dynamic environment while maintaining accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Process client transactions professionally and in line with policies.
• Accept payments for financial transactions and ensure tasks are completed accurately.
• Issue cashier’s checks, certified checks, EE bonds and money orders; process related orders.
• Balance cash drawer according to procedures and report any discrepancies.
• Maintain security and proper documentation of transactions; handle IRS forms as required.
• Protect confidentiality and security of client information and negotiable instruments.
• Balance cash vault and process foreign currency transactions.
• Identify potential fraud and take appropriate actions to prevent loss.
• Assist with ATM balancing and security procedures.
• Promote banking products and refer clients to appropriate colleagues.
• Answer client questions and provide clear resolutions to inquiries.
• May quote deposit rates when appropriate.
• Collaborate with teammates to ensure a positive banking experience.
• Comply with company policies and regulatory requirements.
