Job Description

Associa Chicagoland is a growing company that provides exceptional management services to communities worldwide. We are currently seeking an experienced, licensed Community Association Manager for our portfolio in the Crown Point/Merrillville IN area. This position will also oversee some properties in the South suburbs of Chicago. This position is primarily remote after an initial 90-120 day training period, with the office based in Plainfield, IL.

The ideal candidate should be professional in appearance, able to work independently with minimal supervision, and maintain positive relationships with owners, residents, board members, and coworkers. One of our main goals is to keep our dedicated team of professionals happy and motivated. Job Responsibilities:
  • Prepare requests for proposals
  • Perform monthly or bi-monthly property inspections for reporting requirements
  • Produce a monthly action list
  • Process invoices
  • Perform quality control of vendor’s performance
  • Work closely with the Board of Directors and committee members
  • Understanding of association governing documents
  • The candidate must be extremely organized & have the ability to handle multiple tasks
  • Managing people
  • Preparation and presentation of budgets
  • Routine architectural knowledge and inspections are a plus
  • Coordinate and attend board meetings as contractually required
  • Exhibit excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Service bids and contractor supervision
  • Be available for after-hour emergency maintenance calls for assigned communities
  • Produce management reports and prepare agendas for Board Meetings
Requirements:
  • At least 3 years of experience as a community manager preferred, but knowledge and ability are considered
  • Must be licensed as a Community Manager through the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation. Prefer AMS, and PCAM designations
  • Possess excellent communication skills with a professional presentation
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • A team player with good business skills
  • Self-motivated and willing to go the extra mile for our company and clients
  • Prior experience in your community or HOA is a plus
  • Ability to read and understand financial reports
